This will allow you to control MS and perform various actions on Discord via a locally hosted Discord Bot.

Setting up

1. Creating your own Discord Bot

• Head to https://discord.com/developers/applications and click “New Application”

• You can give you application any name you want, I will name it Metasniper Quicktask in this example.

• We will need to extract 2 pieces of data from here

• Application ID

  You will find this on the “General Information” tab under APPLICATION ID Copy this and paste into MS Settings for Discord App ID

  

• Discord Bot Token

  Head to the “Bots” tab and click “Add Bot”

  

  Once the Bot is created, make sure to

  • Disable Public Bot option - so other people will not be able to add your bot to their server freely
  • Message Content Intent On - so the bot can read messages on Discord

  Copy the Bot Token and paste it into MS settings, if the “Copy” button is not showing, click “Reset Token”.

  

• Discord User ID

In any Discord server type in your own @. and include an extra \\ before it, when you send the message you will see your User ID. Enter this into the Discord User ID Settings, this will ensure that only you will be able to add and start tasks.

2. Adding Bot to your server

Open URL Generator under “OAuth2” Tab on the Discord Application dashboard.

These are the minimal permissions the bot will need to run properly.
